Corn-Fed Critic

Born in the cornfields of Eastern Iowa; raised amongst mounds of video tapes, CDs, and books; and educated at The University of Iowa, John C. Schlotfelt has developed a keen and exacting critical voice and a love of Midwestern art.

Schlotfelt has written and worked for many fantastic organizations including: The University of Iowa’s award-winning daily paper, The Daily Iowan; Iowa City’s arts and culture monthly, The Little Village, and offered his writing and organizational talents to Iowa City’s annual, spring festival, The Mission Creek Music Festival.
